  • Support you in exploring your identity, relationships, and personal growth through creative and nontraditional methods

…you might be in the right place.

About Jessy

Jessy (they/them) works with high achievers who find themselves disconnected from their feelings and have realized that pursuing what their family or society wants doesn’t make them happy. Jessy helps clients go toward things they actually enjoy and start steering their own lives — instead of being carried along by what others expect. They help clients reconnect with their feelings, find what brings them joy, make big decisions, set boundaries, and work on their assertiveness. Jessy often works with Asian immigrants or children of Asian parents and is fluent in both Mandarin and English.

Jessy takes an eclectic approach to helping clients navigate issues related to race, immigration, acculturation, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, suicidality, BPD, trauma, and relationship difficulties. They incorporate mind-body approaches to help clients reconnect with and understand their bodies on a deeper level, blending techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, somatic work, Gestalt therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and internal family systems (IFS). They have a rich background in the arts, which they use to help clients who are interested in artistic and nonverbal self-expression.

Jessy has a profound commitment to kink-, polyamory-, and trans-affirming care. They are training to become an AASECT-certified sex therapist and can guide clients through the complexities of gender and sexuality exploration, as well as issues related to sex and sexual trauma.

Jessy might be the right therapist for you if…

…you want to be heard, seen, and loved—but also want someone to be very open and honest with you

…you're keen to sift through childhood experiences and understand how they molded you

…you a feel things deeply and struggle to untangle big emotions

…you want to use creative and artistic avenues to articulate your experiences instead of words

…you face systemic oppression related to immigration, race, ableism, gender norms, and other delightful "isms”—and want to work with someone who’s been there

…you're seeking someone to hold up a mirror (gently!) to your actions and language

…you're interested in exploring your relationships—including the therapeutic one between us
